The Deadliest Creature in the Forest
At the campground in Mora, we met Ranger Rick, who knows tons about these ferocious beasts which claim more lives in the forest every year that any other animal. And what is this terror of the trees, this destroyer of lives, you ask? The blood thirsty Apoidea (also known as Bees) are roaming the forest in search of, well, pollen, but don't let them fool you. Unknown allergies to these critters can prove to be deadly. We learned that although you may have been stung before and had no reaction, it means that you
are not allergic to that type of bee. Most people are only allergic to one type. Luckily, the Bees are nice enough to give us a warning about our allergies. When first stung, you will find yourself with a large area of itchy redness and welts, and after, I suggest you get yourself a bee sting kit.
